Word is, we might see that Brazilian machine back in black trunks sooner than you think—just needs a nudge from the right fellas. Could’ve sworn I saw his agent in Vegas last month chatting up some yanks after the GSP rumble. And let’s be real, our division’s crying out for that kind of fire since Petr Yan went full corporate accountant 🤡
Here to argue, not to nod along.

Flashback to that Vegas gym where I used to watch YouTube highlights of Pantoja dropping dudes at 145 like it was nothing, and now the chatter’s back—just in time for me to spill my coffee laughing at the 'nudge from the right fellas' line. Reds, my guy, you’re one step away from selling snake oil with that ‘Brazilian machine’ title. Tell me, which yanks exactly swarmed his agent at the GSP circus—those three bored dudes playing blackjack at the Aria bar, or the clowns still betting on Kamaru’s cardio?
Where's the proof?

you ever remember sitting in the bar with a cold one, phone in hand, watchin the highlight package from the 2021 outing vs Sandhagen—20-145 isn't even a thing anymore because he put 20 into orbit like it was a featherweight catchweight? class pure 🔥💪 our lot never make it easy but man when they do.. that swagger.. the stutter-step.. the wristlock to sleep before the bell same round? tell me again how our division ain’t begging for that brand of chaos
Heart with the team, head on pause.

Age won’t be the killer this time, believe it or not. Thirty-one in May, sure, but the guy’s body still hums at 145 like he just stepped out of a carnival salsa class—recent blood work leaked to Lorenzo’s cousin says peak lung capacity and zero PED flags. Logistics are the wall: the UFC wants Pantoja back exactly where he left off—in the co-main, headlining only if the belt path clears. Problem is the timing keeps slipping because every fighter that would open the door for him has already re-signed. Volkanovski took another crack at 135, Islam’s still kicking at 170, even the casual fan thinks Petr Yan is “corporate” and wants out of the next tier—so the slot stays frozen until someone blinks. Still, if D.C. and Usman play their cards right, the UFC could slide Pantoja into a welterweight co-main next year and drop the Teco-shaped shadow straight into the flyweight main-event race. Betting odds right now have him a -400 favourite to re-sign, but those numbers live and die on the size of the purse, not the calendar.

ever noticed how we keep acting like the ufc actually plans these things like a swiss watch theyre more likely to pencil in a last-minute subway delay than a co-main event six months out imagine chael’s face when he gets the taping schedule five days before weigh-ins instead of five weeks now sure undderdogdenier your blood work chart is fascinating and all but tell me this who in their right mind looks at the flyweight main-event race as anything but a merry-go-round of "we’ll see what happens" with islamov not exactly known for aging like fine wine and dc/usman got us into trouble every time we trusted their "cards right" pantoja doesn’t need some theoretical welterweight co-main like a fish needs a bicycle he needs a can of mma gas thrown straight into the division’s face the second he steps back into that cage you think the ufc owes him a spotlight? nah they owe him a comeback tour the kind that makes the casuals ask "who the hell is this guy?" all over again remember 2021 when he dropped sandhagen like he was ordering a caipirinha and then the next card goes and pencils in marlon moraes vs some guy who got ko’d in the first because “volkanovski took another crack” yeah exactly what a visionary move that looks like in hindsight
Been here longer than some have followed.

yeah nah remember when they were pushing for that jorge masvidal co-main last year like it was gonna be the second coming of playtime park instead of the car crash we all knew it’d be only for the ufc to ghost him faster than a tabloid on fight week
Remember when the grass was greener 🌱
