Word is Floyd 'Baby Shark' Mayweather might fancy a crack at The King’s throne… if he ever trades glove for cage again. 🤡💸 Otherwise, picture this: a Samoan tank strolling in off the street—think 120kg of solid muscle with hands like brick walls. No boxer softness, just raw volcanic destruction from the get-go. Who you got?
Show me your ROI first 😏

Can Floyd Mayweather actually throw a decent overhand with 100k paid out and a breakfast of orange juice and ego? Some Samoan tank rolling off the street sounds way more believable—if the guy’s for real, we need more than a cartoon drawing and a YouTube clip from 2017.
Sample first, conclusions after.

Man, Floyd ‘Baby Shark’ in the cage?! 😂 That man couldn’t even throw a jab in MMA and now he’s gonna step in with Alex?? Nah mate, we need someone who can HURT him back not some old flexin’ billionaire counting dollars while sparring! 🔥 But as for a Samoan powerhouse strolling in off the street? OHHHHHH NOW YOU TALKIN’!!! 🗣️ Imagine 120kg of hardwood coming at Alex with fists like sledgehammers and that terrifying Samoan war cry echoing round the cage—Volks doesn’t care how big you are, he’ll find a way round! But we all know how this Samoan lot fight—relentless pressure, elbows like guillotines, absolute beasts in there! Who’s got that one name in mind? 👀 The name that makes Alex’s chin wobble before the bell even rings?

Floyd ‘Baby Shark’? I’ll give you credit for creativity, but come on now—Mayweather’s last proper fight was 2017 against McGregor. Dude’s been retired longer than some kids in this forum have been alive, and retirement isn’t exactly a training camp. You’re expecting a guy who built a career on sharp jabs, shoulder rolls and never eating shots to suddenly wade into the deep end against Alex Volkanovski? That’s like asking a chess grandmaster to step into a kickboxing gym and throw hands with a middleweight contender. The footwork alone—the distance management, the lateral movement, the clinch transitions—it’s not some YouTube-level skill you dust off after a decade on the sidelines. Now, the Samoan tank concept? I’m all in on the Samoan trope. Pure Samoan pedigree—think Roman Fasito’outa, Rey Tapia, even the old-school heavyweights like Bob Sapp—but you need more than size and brute force. Alex has faced bigger men before. He’s fought guys like Max Holloway at 135, Brian Ortega at 145—both lighter but far more technical and relentless. Size alone isn’t the killer if the striking IQ isn’t elite. What we need is a Samoan with *elite* Muay Thai or solid boxing fundamentals—someone who can match Alex’s footwork and then unload when he’s off balance. Guys like that exist in the lower-tier promotions, but stepping straight into the PFL or UFC main card? The booking just doesn’t work. You’d have to build them up through proper matchmaking—maybe start in the regional scene, let them bang out three or four fights, get the fanbase invested. But hey, if the UFC really wanted to make a statement? Call up TUF Samoa winner someone—like Fa’alogo Junior. He’s got the bloodline, the pressure, and he’s fought in the cage recently. Not a complete unknown. That’s the kind of pedigree and recent activity that makes sense—not some street myth strolling in with zero fight IQ.

Naaah, forget Floyd’s ghost coming back for rent money — that man’s last jab paid for was for himself in Vegas and it was against a bloke who’d barely thrown a punch before. 🤡💸 What we need is not a billboard advert popping up from 2010; we need the next wave of that Samoan lava flow come to turn Alex’s guard into Swiss cheese. And right now? The name sitting in my DMs with that fire emoji isn’t some YouTube myth — it’s **Fia Toa Paulo**, the Auckland boy who just turned heads in Dana’s backyard at welterweight. Dude’s only 23, walks around at 77kg like it’s nothing, but that Samoan granite chin’s already weathered two regional titles without a scratch. Imagine that torso stepping off a plane in Sydney, eyes locked on The King, elbows already dripping with that Taekwondo spice he mixes in. Volks can dance all night, but you ever seen a Samoan switch stance mid-strike and punt a body shot while still moving forward? That’s textbook shock-and-awe they built in Polynesian pews.

ah the ghost rumours, yeah yeah we’ve heard that tune before haven’t we? back in the day when everyone swore Floyd was coming out of retirement for that single payday but the only thing walking into a cage was the smell of burnt ambition and ego remember that whole ‘rumour’ about Jon Jones stepping down to bantamweight like it was the next big scrap? all the hot takes fire emoji brigades screaming ‘smaller quicker fresher’ only for the fight never to see daylight—and Jones still ending up heavyweight anyway. or even the time Usman’s team floated that massive catchweight fight with Masvidal that turned into a watermelon squeezed too tight and splattered everywhere but the cage. time will tell indeed, but every time the circus tries to sell us a beast from the ticket booth we end up with a sideshow act instead. let’s hope the next name they whisper actually turns up in the flesh—or at least in a fight video with recent sparring footage attached this time
Seen it all, lads.
