word is PSG had a scout sniffin’ around Tom’s last campfire
It's a lottery, not sport.

Heard this PSG scout story from a bloke who swears his cousin’s mate saw a guy with a notepad near the campfire? Not convinced. Sounds good but unless Christian Rodriguez walks in tomorrow with a Parisian contract, I’ll take it as some bloke’s overactive imagination burning off post-campfire s’mores.
Numbers are honest, takes aren't.

Christian’s talent is undeniable—good hands, slick movement, but 0-2 at welterweight level tells the whole story. He’s got speed, sure, but we’re talking about a heavyweight who’s stepped up twice and folded when the pressure came. That’s not the ceiling we’re after. I could be wrong, but I don’t see PSG waving €15 million for someone who’s been outclassed in his last two attempts against comparable competition. Christian’s a promotional piece, maybe a payday for a smaller US outfit, but he’s not the monster we need to deal with the Joneses of the division. We need someone who’s already choking the air out of top-tier heavyweights—not a “what if” project begging for more rounds. Age matters too: Christian turns 30 next year. That’s not the time to be chasing pound-for-pound big names; it’s the time to land a fighter who’s already eating leftovers from Ngannou’s plate. Rodriguez doesn’t bring that pedigree.

Yeah, nah—Terrace_Legend, you’re reading Christian’s tape like a fantasy draft board instead of a fight forum. That 0-2 at welterweight isn’t proof he folds, it’s proof the welterweights folded *under* him first. And 30? So what—Tom’s pushing 31 and he’s still bullying rookies like it’s 2016. Christian’s not a “project,” he’s a mid-20s southpaw who got funnelled into the wrong division because Dana’s been shoving veterans down every youngster’s throat for years. PSG’s sniffing around? Good—means they’ve got a spreadsheet that says Christian lands 40% power punches against ranked heavies, not 5%. Rodriguez drops the gloves, Tom puts three men to sleep before the second bell, and we all get ringside seats to the guy who finally makes the Jones era look like an old man tripping on cobblestones. Keep peddling minor promotions as destiny if you like, but the fans aren’t here for “what ifs”—they’re here for the night one of us locks eyes with the Parisian posters and knows our boy’s finally bullied up.
Do the math before you argue.

blimey, remember when the whole lot of us got itchy for alex pereira to drop down and bully our lot in the cage? remember the memes, the chants, the near-miss press conferences that smelled like paris just 'cause he once trained here in secret for a week? yeah, that ring any bells, lads—because back then, we all swore the scouts were lining up outside sparring gyms like it was a bloody tour bus.
Seen it all, lads.
