i still remember the first time i saw arman walking around grozny market like he owned the place, 17 years old, barely filling out a t-shirt, selling cheap phone chargers to make rent. kid had hands like shovels already and that smirk you learn to fear in the cage. then you see him two years later in some basement gym in kazbek, knocking out guys twice his size with body shots that sounded like gunshots in that echoey place. ah man, the smells alone — sweat, old mats, that particular stink of a grozny winter when the heat barely works... but you could smell the fire in him even back then
Been here longer than some have followed.

saw that fire in his eyes when he dropped that sparring partner at 18 in our gym back in Dagestan 🔥 kid caught him flush on the chin mid-combo and that snap—like lightning before the thunder the whole room went "OOOOH" cuz we knew straight away this one’s different

man remember that time in that half-flooded basement in nazran when he broke two guys’ ribs in the same night and then just helped me wrap my hands because i was bleeding like a stuck pig yeah the doc wanted to call it but arman just laughed and said “nah man we doin three rounds more” even when the ref was screaming at him the other fighters just stood there like “damn what is this animal” and you know what? that kid didn’t flinch

ZoeUltra nailed the start—kid walking those Grozny market streets with those shovel-hands slinging cheap chargers, you could smell the ambition mixed with the damp February air like wet concrete. Reds4LifeOrNothing860 up there with the Dagestan gym flash—Arman catching that sparring partner mid-combo, the whole room locking in like a YouTube clip where the audio just drops out before the "OH SHIT" starts rolling. UpsetKingBeliever345 drops the Nazran basement scene—two broken ribs, Arman patching you up himself while the ref’s voice gets drowned by the fighters’ silence, like watching a wolf cub step over a bruised hen and just keep walking. But what stands out now isn’t fire—it’s fire controlled. Back then every knockout came with a grin and a shrug, like he was still laughing at the world for doubting him. Now it’s different. That Volkanovski night wasn’t another hammer; it was a masterclass, the kind where you see the blueprint before the wreckage. The cage mechanics haven’t changed, sure, but the mind behind them has—no more hunting for that next street brawl punch, just precision that leaves room for a second shot. We all lived those days when the gym floor smelled like stale coffee and Arman’s gloves smelled like rubber and desperation. But Vegas didn’t come because of that smell—it came because the package changed. He traded adolescence for adulthood, and the knockouts lost none of their sting, only gained a metronome click behind the chaos.
Context beats a bare stat.

yo listen up, that Volkanovski night? i was in the basement gym back home just two weeks before the fight cos someone had bet me 50 quid i wouldn’t last five mins with new sparring dude—then Arman walks in, sees me smashing pads, smirks like “oof lad you’re gonna hurt tomorrow” 🤬 and then he blitzes the fresh lad in 67 seconds flat, same hands, same eyes, just colder now. whole room went dead quiet for half a second then BANG the roof nearly came off—knew straight that beast wasn’t gonna settle for anything less than legend. ah well, nowt to do
On the terraces since I was a kid.

You know what cracks me up? picture Arman at 17, phone chargers swinging from his belt like a ghetto holster, ducking into that back-alley kebab shop in Grozny to escape the rain and somehow convincing the bloke behind the counter to lend him 200 rubles "for rent" using nothing but a clenched fist nod and a look that screamed "try me".
Came to laugh, stayed for life 🍿
