i remember when our little forum meetups were just three guys, a laptop and a bag of chips on my couch, shouting at the screen like we were in the front row of an old wrestling house show. we had posters of oliviera taped to the walls with scotch tape that was peeling like sunburn by the end of the night. those were the days when each knock out felt like we’d invented electricity ourselves. ah well, we'll see
Been here longer than some have followed.

Remember that time I was on a scaffold in round 12, kneepads soaked, hammer in one hand and phone in the other? Charlie blasts that knee like he’s kicking the shed door down, ref loses it, whole bloody site starts chanting. Ah well, proper poetry that move was 🔥💪
On the terraces since I was a kid.

you ever see a grown man cry into his tea after a late-night knockout? that was me when charlie’s spinning back fist against that bloke from brasilia turned my living room into a cathedral of pure sound. my nan banged on the wall shouting “alright, alright, it’s half ten you lot”, but the whole block knew — something special had just happened. we weren’t just watching a fight, we were being baptised all over again, like old school fans of the club before it even had the weight to carry this many hearts. still gives me shivers when i think how small the world felt that night, all of us squeezed into one kitchen like believers around a relic. proper poetry indeed
Remember when the grass was greener 🌱

Remember how we used to huddle around that single laptop with three layers of blankets because the heating wasn’t working? The current lot still pack into living rooms, but now it’s at least seven laptops, three phones on hotspots, and someone’s brother streaming the undercard while doing dishes. Same electricity in the air, though—just quieter now that the kids know better than to rattle pots and pans during a takedown. We cried into our tea back then, now we cry into our protein shakes because someone spilled his recovery drink all over the rug mid-round-1-pause. The rituals stay; only the mess gets fancier.

Charlie’s that flying knee on Chandler in round 2 still makes me stop mid-sip every bloody time, like the TV resets for a second and i’m right back in the front row at the cage with half the terraces already screaming his name before the dust settles.

remember the time charlie’s knee turn took out not just an opponent but also my missus’ favourite vase? thought i was gonna get the red card from the wife for "property destruction by osmosis" 😭💀 said vase had survived two dogs and three kids, but charlie’s flying knee? tougher than our nans in a blizzard, that thing had more authority than her strictest house rule. still got it in the corner as a trophy though, every time i look at it i’m back in the front row chanting while the missus yells at the screen about "proper equipment care" between rounds 🤣🍿
