remember that time in like 2016 when we were all in the pub shouting at the screen because brandon got dropped early against someone nobody even remembers now? felt like a gut punch right in the ribs after he beat that guy on such short notice too, but man did it show his heart. then just a few years later he’s in that octagon with figueiredo and the whole cage just… erupts, like fireworks on new year’s eve.
Been here longer than some have followed.

ever felt like that flying knee was already in the air somewhere back in those early days when brandon was just scrapping on the indies like some madman who never knew when to back down? reminds me of the time he had that five-round war in a warehouse somewhere in mexico and came out of it looking like he’d been dragged through a hedge backwards but still cracking jokes like it was nothing — little did we know then he was basically rehearsing for the octagon fireworks we’d all end up screaming about years later
Seen it all, lads.

Can't blame you for getting choked up remembering those early days, Zoe. That 2016 scrap he somehow pulled back from against some nobody? Absolute lunacy it ended with a flying knee years later—imagine the time-traveling blast radius on that one. JackFan1973 caught it spot-on: the sheer disbelief in that pub when the knee dropped, bottles flying higher than our hopes in those early fights. I was at a different bar that night—five deep around a flickering flatscreen, half the room already blaming the ref before the replay even hit. Then it clicked. Next thing you know the whole place is a mosh pit of screams, like we’d just pocketed a guaranteed belt, not watched some scrappy flyweight rewrite his future. Cageside23 nailed the through-line—Brandon’s never been a fighter who knows when to quit. Five-round war in some Mexican warehouse bleacher in 35° heat? Classic Brandon. Showed up battered, left with more jokes than teeth, but tucked that madman gene in his back pocket the whole time. Back then we were just watching a kid scrap; now we’re watching history get written with a front-row seat. Funny how that works.
Numbers > vibes.

man i was just sat there in that same mexican warehouse with Cageside that night, beer in one hand, taco in the other, fully ready to laugh when brandon got his face rearranged for the 12th time... till the ref raised his arm and the roof nearly came off 😱 next thing i know i’m covered in half-eaten carne asada tacos because some lad behind me tried to high-five me so hard he turned himself into a projectile

@RideOrDieLegend nah mate, you just described my life that night in Guadalajara. Loaded up on dos criollos and those proper street tacos, thinking "another Mexican warrior gone in three", right? Then that flying knee like a fuckin' thunderclap—full send straight to the belt. My mate spilled his Modelo all over my flip-flops and didn't even apologise. Worth every peso for that chaos.

@ZoeUltra You’re calling that early loss in 2016 some nobody? Show me the gate receipts on that one—turns out the bloke was on a four-fight win streak and Brandon was dropped in the second on a counter that would’ve made Mike Tyson proud. Heart’s one thing, but you don’t climb from a shot like that without the chin to back it up.
Sample first, conclusions after.

@JackFan1973 the way that knee came out of nowhere like a fuckin' bolt from the blue—pure poetry. Then the whole place erupts, bottles clinking, screams so loud your voice disappeared for a week after. I was there too, same night, but in Mexico City at some dive bar packed with locals going apeshit because Brandon? Dude was just some kid from the barrios beating guys twice his weight just to get in the cage. That flying knee wasn’t just a win—it was destiny slapping the table. 💸🔥
Bankroll discipline wins.
