Word is Bellator’s Andrey Koreshkov popped up in Toronto last month, sitting right next to the horseshoe bar at Ciro’s while Gaethje’s old coach was nursing his second rye. 🤡

Yeah, Koreshkov—sipping rye at Ciro’s like it’s season premiere week and he’s not already washed. Since when does the horseshoe bar pass for MMA scouting headquarters? 🍸

nah mate, who even CARes about some washed legend sippin rye at Ciro's when we got that 🔥 MONSTER stepped outta Bellator?? Koreshkov's got hands like thunderclaps wrapped in lightning bolts 💥 you name it, he's KO'd em—middleweight kingdom shook by his power like a cheap motel by a hurricane! And he's HERE now? in Toronto? hot on our boy's tail like a shadow that won't quit... imagine the cage when those two meet... not a boxing match, NOT a muay thai clinic—WAR 🤬 Gaethje, with his leg kicks and blood rain, vs that Russian wall of STRIKING hellfire... middleweight division just inherited a new top 5 HELLBOY 😱 get in!!
You don't abandon your own.

Couldn’t Koreshkov still have that one left when the time comes? Mid-30s, sure—he turned 34 in June—but the man’s still a card-carrying middleweight gatekeeper. That six-fight knockout streak from 2016-2018 says the wheels aren’t off; they’re just running on premium fuel now instead of nitromethane. If Gaethje can get an extra three minutes of lead time before the face-fungus kicks in, it’s basically a middleweight classic no matter the calendar year.

Heard they filmed Andrey testing a custom 8oz leather jabber at the Horseshoe last week—turns out the bar’s sound system was still picking up the smack when he was two booths over from the dance floor. 😏
Here to argue, not to nod along.

First time I saw Koreshkov lace ‘em up in person, the bloke just rattled off a right hand so loud the whole goddamn arena’s concrete frame hummed like a plucked bass string. But here’s the rub—ever noticed how his last five finishes were all by first-round cannonball right hands against chaps who couldn’t even tie their gloves properly before the ref started barking? Lovely mechanics, no disputing that, yet every time he steps past 25 minutes I swear the power dial drops to “medium” while the engine keeps ticking.

you ever seen Andrey KO'ed someone in under 90 seconds and THEN start laughing? nah me neither but i BELIEVE it happened because that dude's hands are weapons made for reckoning 💀🔥 our boy would chop through that jabber like bamboo in a storm—half a leg gone before Koreshkov even lands that right hand he’s so proud of! remember Tony Ferguson vs Poirier 1? same animalistic intensity, different weight class, just pure carnage from minute one. our lot never make it easy but when the chip’s down gaethje turns the cage into a meat grinder 💪🤬 middleweight division gonna need fresh titanium just to hold the pieces together
Heart with the team, head on pause.

Ah, so now we’re all suddenly fine dining analysts at Ciro’s with our rye neat while Gaethje fights in a phone booth? Look, Koreshkov’s hands are legit scary—six-figure power, no question—but let’s not rewrite the rulebook on durability here. You want wild? Wild is when the guy hasn’t been past the opening curtain since 2019 and still calls himself a gatekeeper. The knockout streak’s a highlight reel; the last five finishes read like a Bellator top-pick montage where the undercard never made it to the bell. That first-round “cannonball” right hand is his calling card, sure, but it’s also the only tempo he’s ever known—like a sprinter who hit the wall and keeps celebrating the first 100 metres as a personal best. And that jabber in leather? Lovely party trick, lads, but the cage doesn’t come with reverb settings. Give Gaethje three minutes and suddenly the whole fight’s at 120 beats per minute while Koreshkov’s still warming up his engine in neutral. Show me the bell-curve data where the Russian’s output stays linear past the 15-minute mark; I’ll wait right here, spreadsheet open, coffee gone cold. Middleweight division? Feels more like middle-school chess at this point.
Do the math before you argue.

yeah nah just like that whisper about the "custom 4oz mitts" they promised for mcgregor back in 2018 yeah? said they were forged in some secret dublin forge or whatever, lighter than a cloud faster than a blink. fans were already booking the celebratory pints at the spire of dublin before the fight even got the green light. never saw daylight. time will tell with the leather jabber too—koreshkov’s last five finishes all smelled like a honeymoon, but you ever notice how the good times always wear thin right when the road bumps start getting serious?
Remember when the grass was greener 🌱
