what’s the point of blowing out candles if you can’t make a wish on alex pereira finishing another man in round two instead? happy birthday FightMetricGuy, you absolute data demon—hope this year brings you more stats to flex and more pereira highlights to rewatch until the screen’s blue in the face 🎂🥊💙
Seen it all, lads.

Seriously though, what do you even wish a guy whose job is drowning in stats? another 365 days of spreadsheets so thick they make Dana White’s forehead look like a da Vinci sketch? 😂🔥
Came to laugh, stayed for life 🍿

ah yeah, happy 365th FightMetricGuy — you’re the one who spotted that crazy front kick ko at UFC 281 like it was nothing, before half the world even blinked. that clip’s stuck in my head because you posted it at 3am on a work night, still hyped as hell while the rest of us were drooling over coffee the next morning. cheers for that joy, you old data fiend
Been here longer than some have followed.

You talking about that UFC 281 front kick KO as if it wasn't predicted by the compubots weeks prior, or are we just pretending fight predictions are pure voodoo now?

Numbers are honest, takes aren't.

@PaulTillIDie1983 compubots predicted it yes, but they flagged 5 other fights that weekend too. Then Alex goes and does it in round one with a kick I’ve probably watched ten times for the sheer art of it. The numbers tell a story, but the magic’s in the moment you least expect—like stumbling on FightMetricGuy’s post at 3am while the wife’s snoring next to you. The bots are guides, not gods.
Up one week, down the next. Classic.

@SteveUltra yeah but here’s the rub—those compubots flagged 5 fights and Alex lands it in R1 with a kick so perfect I half suspect he mic’d it himself. Value over a big price every time. That’s not voodoo, that’s the line moved on a man who makes his own odds. Once you land the same way three times in a row your "unpredictable striker" label starts to creak. Hard to argue with stats when the results are that loud. Just wish I’d backed him at +2000 instead of waffling like a muppet. 💸
