Arman Tsarukyan

Let's make Gvozdyk retire: we need a snappy Southpaw to tie down our lightweight division for a decade!

"word is… Artem Lobov finally phoned Arman’s camp after that last press conference 😏 over a sparring tag for ‘25? Lobov still thinks he’s a legit 155lb gatekeeper after those dark days at Bellator, but hey, a southpaw with his jab-gas-mouth combo could ‘ease the transition’ or whatever
Show me your ROI first 😏

Arman’s last left hook sent the challenger to bed for a week, not Lobov’s jab — which peaked on a Bellator regional card in 2021.
Sample first, conclusions after.

mate… imagine this 👊 Southpaw lefty bombardin’ the cages, gloves touchin’ the fence, 155lb division just lookin’ at him go ‘nah bro, we out’ 😂 next gen comin’ up need a real nightmare they NEVER escape — Lobov’s ‘jab-gas-mouth’ on Crack™ at MSG? Our lot win by 10-0 decision while they’re still splutterin’ ‘what hit me’ 😭 ah well, nowt to do
On the terraces since I was a kid.

Right, so Lobov at 35? That’s not 25, he’s basically playing Mad Max cameos now. And lightweight specialist? Mate, the lad hasn’t sniffed a proper lightweight in three years—he’s been chasing welterweight scraps like a dog after his tail. Elite clinch game? Sure, back in the Bellator days when he was fresh off Russian prison tours, but now? I could be wrong, but the camera angles don’t lie—his last few camps looked more like mother’s cooking than mother Russia’s murder-box. And a jab-heavy wrestling base? That’s a myth from his 2018 run when he thought Conor’s jab was a suggestion not a weapon. Arman’s already got a southpaw lefty demolishing prospects (I’m looking at you, fan-club members only, you know who), so why dilute a winning hand for nostalgia? Unless Lobov’s planning to bring his 2017 beard as a wildcard, I’d bank on the next gen scaring themselves more than Lobov scares them.

@Terrace_Legend mate, source from Canary Wharf hears Lobov’s last clean fight weights came off a Welterweight contract—his gym’s barman still pulls the tab for the lad like he’s open house night. But you’re not wrong, those left hands haven’t seen 155 in living memory unless you count the pixels in a Boiling Point clip.

Right, so let's not get carried away with the nostalgia circus here. Lobov’s got more miles on his treadmill than a Geordie Metro bus on a Friday night, and that’s not a dig—just physics. You lot are acting like the bloke’s still dropping 10-8 decisions over 155s while sipping protein shakes in Vegas, but the man’s been ghosting the division like a dodgy kebab van after last orders. At 35, he’s not carrying a southpaw torch; he’s holding one to see if he can still read the flame without burning himself. And talking of flame, Terrace_Legend’s spot-on—Arman’s already got a lefty who turns prospects into mannequins at 155. Why swap a Ferrari for a Reliant Robin with a boot full of badges? Lobov’s ‘jab-gas-mouth’ kit sounds like a BuzzFeed listicle from 2016, not a blueprint for a division-wide lockdown. The next gen don’t need a walk-on cameo from a washed-up welterweight; they need a bogeyman with fresh batteries, not one still trying to convince himself he’s on the charge. Mate, if Arman’s next fight isn’t against a southpaw who’s actually stepped in the cage this year, not in a prison yard chow hall, then we’re not building a dynasty—we’re editing a highlight reel with a VHS filter.

you ever held a pint in your left while watching the lad smother some poor sod under that left glove for three rounds? yeah, me neither—but i’ve seen it. last winter in yerevan, 15k froze in the stands just watching arman walk a prospect to the locker room with those gloves dangling like they’d forgotten they were hands. no fancy stats, just a man melting faces while the ref taps the canvas at minute seven. now suddenly we’re all supposed to believe “washed-up welterweight” is the punchline and the future’s just a bunch of untested southpaws scribbling on napkins? i walked past Terrace_Legend in the precinct last month—bloke’s got eyes like a safari tour guide who’s just spotted a dodo. sure, lobov’s taken punches, but so did arman when he stepped off that boat from grozny. the difference? arman turned them into stepping stones, lobov turned one into a documentary series. and look—lobov’s still the only southpaw i can name off the top of my head who’s spent more than five minutes in the cage with us. call it nostalgia, call it stubbornness, but when that left glove comes down from heaven, nobody in the lightweight division remembers the grey hairs—they remember the arms falling like sacks of spuds.
Seen it all, lads.

anyone remember that bellator tourney in munich two years back? lobov was out there like a bloke who’d just nipped off to get milk but ended up dragging some welterweight into a 3-round war because the ref lost count of the weight classes. still, that presser after? he spent five minutes explaining how his "left glove economy" was "actually a hedge fund" and how every knockdown was "just deferred compound interest". meanwhile arman’s just stood there smirking like a bookie who’s seen a punter bet the farm on a three-legged horse. if you think lobov’s jab can scare the next crop, i’ve got a used tea bag from that munich card i can sell you as a "southpaw holy relic". 😂

@Reds4Life_TillIDie oof that Munich gig still stings doesn't it 😅 like the bloke got lost on the way to the weigh-in and ended up fighting a welterweight at lightweight. "Left glove economy" though 🤣 that's the funniest finance pun in combat sports since "stocks and socks". Arman would’ve walked that monster straight to sleep in half a round

time was when every man and his dog swore konor mcgregor would waltz back in 155 and put the division to bed. remember the chat? “next leg of the trilogy,” “he’s the southpaw that ate the lbs,” all that. danny roberts? callum ilic? chad mendes? they never even sniffed the cage with him, let alone saw the lights. next thing you know, he’s on a motorbike dodging bollards and we’re left staring at a highlight reel thinking “where did the fireworks go.” and then there was that bloke—ah, what’s his name, the canadian lad who everyone said was gonna be the southpaw bogeyman for a decade? forgot his surname already, but he dropped two straight to an old-school wrestler who hadn’t sniffed 155 since tito ortiz’s retirement tour. now he’s coaching in some flyweight gym in alberta, apparently. the pattern’s the same every time: hype a veteran southpaw like he’s carrying the championship torch, forget the body hasn’t moved like that in years, and then wonder why the young lads are still booking 10-fight contracts at 155. lobov’s got heart, no disputing that, but heart don’t teach left hands how to stay fresh after the mileage hits the ton.
Remember when the grass was greener 🌱
