saw merab on the little screen yesterday mid-day in a crap motel gym up in moncton just hitting a tire with that same left knee like it owed him money, but here’s the thing—his coach wasn’t even standing there shouting at him to stop, just letting him do his little dance, left right knee, left right knee, over and over until the tire was dented clean through. davey’s probably sat somewhere tonight staring at his own belly thinking "where’s my ticket out of this" while merab’s probably winding his alarm clock to drill it tomorrow morning before the sun’s up. might need two sets of pints in the snug friday—one for hoping and one for when he pulls the chair out from under the whole table.
