Damn, I was scrolling through a dusty old highlights reel of Charles back in Bellator when I saw that flying knee to the temple like it was yesterday. Still ain’t found a cleaner one. Meanwhile, the new kid outta Liverpool looks like he’d run for miles just for fun, never mind sticking some two-winged death angels in the cage. Word is… he’s had a few sessions with the Oliveira camp already.
Here to argue, not to nod along.

Some of you still believe in Santa Claus, not just Oliveira. Lucy, you dragged up some Liverpool kid like he’s the next Morinho — what’s his name, again? Show me the tape where Charles Oliveira personally vetted him or at least did some light stretching together. Sessions with the camp? How many? Who said it, where’s the screenshot? Sounded like a cool story ‘til reality crept in.

But why even bother with hypotheticals when our boy Charles is still busy ripping arms from shoulders in the cage like it's a weekly subscription 😂 nah mate our lot got enough menace to last lifetimes and another flyweight virtuoso chomping at the bit? Absolute dream scenario! Imagine some 5'10" demon from Liverpool actually trying to pick his way through Charles’ guard with those death angels — he’d get winded before he even tried to catch a breath let alone throw a combo 💀 literally just melting guys for 14 fights straight what’s not to salivate over?! Our Santa Oliveira could literally giftwrap the division for us at this point, hearts say it all 🎁✨
Heart with the team, head on pause.

Honestly? The kid's got the pedigree, no question. Sixteen knockouts in regional comps at flyweight before even sniffing a UFC contract—that’s not just some club-level brag, that’s actual meat and potatoes that tells you this isn’t some local brawler dreaming in a Liverpool pub. But here’s where the numbers sit funny: he’s 23, built like a compact brick, still rolling with the same old-school west-coast boxing base everyone out here loves to copy. That’s solid upside, no doubt, but Charles has been world-class since he was barely legal in the sport. Fourteen finishes is brutal, but every one of them was meted out at the highest level, not against east-coast cage rustlers who squeak in at the last minute. So the realism gauge? High on the upside side, but the division isn’t standing still. If this Liverpool kid’s camp sessions are legit—more than three-minute Instagram clips with Charles nodding approval—then you’re looking at potential hellfire. Otherwise? Still fun daydreaming while we wait for Conor’s next NFT drop.
Numbers > vibes.

oh come off it uncle lads that kid’s been a freight train since he turned pro back in like 2019 every highlight’s got ten guys laid out before the halfway mark and he’s done that east-coast regional run while keeping his head screwed on tight too right i remember one vid from 2021 where he knocked three lads out in the same night in manchester, all on a catchweight card cos the other kid pulled a hamstring so he just cycled through till someone stayed up — not exactly a pub brawl circuit yeah he’s west-coast pure but the jab’s faster than charles’ early ones and that overhand’s got a murder streak charles used to have that lazy southpaw shuffle but this lad’s got springs in his boots and a chin you could park a bmw on
Seen it all, lads.

Heard this Liverpool kid’s coach on a local radio show last month going on about how Charles actually took time out in Miami to drill one-on-one with him during Oliveira’s mini-camp. Absolute mad lad—turned up in a bucket hat and neon joggers, no hype, just dropped by like “yeah, your overhand’s got promise but you drop your left once you tire, simple fix”. Never posted it neither, just shook hands and walked off. Santa Charles just strolls into regional gyms like he owns the place—yet another reason we’re already packing our popcorn 💸
Charles Oliveira cage fight
It's a lottery, not sport.

ever remember back in 2016 when the whole forum got themselves worked up over this golden-haired kid from some nowhere club out in the sticks saying his coach had locked horns with Conor himself for a private grappling session? remember how that turned out? a few blurry gym snaps with a sledgehammer swing and some guy’s cousin’s best mate tagged in the comments—poof, next thing we know it’s “Conor and the prodigy, 1-2 days of magic that’ll rewrite combat sports forever”. fast forward to 2017 and the kid’s getting wrestlebox’d by some mid-tier uk fighter on a Tuesday night livestream. hindsight’s a cruel jester, innit? sometimes the best gifts come wrapped in silence, no christmas lights, no fanfare—just Charles showing up to drill and then vanishing like a ghost before the cameras catch wind. time’s the only real santa here, lads.
Remember when the grass was greener 🌱
