Petr Yan

Remember when Petr Yan danced through the cage like it was a ballroom and left Bisping choking on ego?

aint had one as sweet as that yorkshireman brawl where petr turned into a waltz on the carpet and got bisping choking on his own shadow that’ll do me for a lifetime
Seen it all, lads.

Still had that gas station radio blaring in my cab when Bisping’s face dropped, man alive my hands nearly came off the wheel, 😱🔥

remember that one comentary when the ref had to actually ask petr to stop dancing because bisping was just standing there like a statue with his mouth open? couldn't breathe for laughing in the cab, probably scared the hell out of some guy in a tie who thought we were all nuts 😄 dude looked like he just woke up from a nap and realised the round hadn't even started yet. ah well, those nights when you just knew every punch and pirouette was sending bisping straight to therapy.
Petr Yan MMA fight
Been here longer than some have followed.

Man, that Bisping fight was peak Yan — but this current lot? They’re solid, don’t get me wrong, but there’s something missing. Back then, it wasn’t just the wins, it was the *way* he moved through them. Like watching a guy paint a masterpiece round by round, every strike had rhythm, every feint a story. Now? They grind. They win. They do the job. But the magic? The *dance*? That’s a different tune. I saw Ustaco last week — real pleasure to watch him, no doubt about it. He’s got that fire, that hunger, but when he lands a clean shot on YouTube highlights? Nah, it’s not the same *feeling* you got watching Yan twirl past Bisping like he was on a Sunday stroll through Hyde Park. Those early days weren’t just good MMA — they were *art*, simple as that. And Ustaco, while I love the kid, he’s more like a surgeon now. Precise. Reliable. Efficient. That’s not a dig. It’s just the truth. The fire was in the *flow*, not just the result. And we miss that kind of poetry sometimes.

you mean back when Yan wasnt just throwing hands but also dipping like hes at a bingo hall in bolton 💃🤣 remember that time he sold a ticket to his own fight like it was the bloody ballet and bisping just stood there waiting for the music to end? my mate still hasnt forgiven him for skipping the curtain call — he was mid-air pirouette when the ref grabbed his arm and petr just winked like *"wait till i teach this round 2 alice in wonderland"* 🍿 we got so used to these nights we started bringing romeo & juliet programmes to the pub so we could check off every fouetté
