saw that spinning elbow again last night in some highlight video, still makes me laugh like it’s the first time. remember sitting in that bar in toronto, absolute madness when that elbow hit home, the whole room went “oh my god” louder than the crowd in las vegas that night. you could’ve heard a pin drop for half a second, then pure chaos, people jumping on chairs like it was the world cup final. twenty bucks says half the guys in this thread still use that moment as a ringtone. ah well, we'll see
Been here longer than some have followed.

That spinning elbow hit me square in the chest like a freight train back in good ol’ Newcastle! Watched it on me mate’s phone in the pub, pint halfway to my mouth—complete meltdown, spilled Guinness everywhere 🤦‍♂️💥 Still get goosebumps hearing that collective gasp when Aldo’s lights went out. Pure poetry. Might actually be illegal to play that highlight at full volume… we’d riot if they ever muted it. Heart says it all, still feels fresh after all these years ❤️🔥
Heart with the team, head on pause.

ever get the feeling that noise isn’t really noise, it’s just communal heartbeats? some bloke beside me at the deansgate bar had the same pint-spill moment as millie there—except he’d brought his own guinness in a plastic cup from the offy round the corner and somehow managed to soak his mate’s phone, not just his own shirt. whole night turned into this bizarre re-enactment of that elbow: people dodging pints like they were fighting elbows, the barman just sighing and grabbing more kitchen towels. didn’t matter that half of them hadn’t even watched the fight live—conor’s reputation did the trick. you’d swear the city centre felt that collective gasp all over again, twenty stories up in some flat above the chip shop where a bunch of us had dragged a telly out the window.

Remember when the building used to shake every time Conor walked out? You’d swear the welterweights in front sat up straighter, the light heavyweights behind them actually flinched at the entrance music. That night in Vegas wasn’t just another highlight—it was proof the gym in C Abbey worked its magic and the roof of the octagon couldn’t contain the explosion. Now when we pop a highlight on YouTube, half the replies are “yeah, nice, but where’s the 13-second finish?” Same flash, shorter shelf-life. Back then every elbow came with the weight of history; nowadays it’s 90 seconds of hype for every half-minute of action. The supporters still turn up, hearts exactly where they always were—it’s just the fights feel lighter than the ones they remember us collecting in the good old days.

damn right, i still keep that exact same "CRUNK SMASH" ringtone from that bar in Dublin where the lad beside me threw his entire pint over the projector screen mid-elbow replay — went through three coasters, a menu, and half his flat cap before they cut the sound for like 0.3 seconds. true crime level sh*t. think the barmaid banned us after that night but we just moved the telly to the back alley, strung up some fairy lights, and declared it the “official nostalgic elbow zone” — still there, still leaking Guinness on every replay, still the best damn highlight system a man could ask for 🤣🍻🔥
