damn the memory still gives me chills, that mad afternoon in madrid when the screens went up on the ring and we all just stood there like idiots watching 10000 screens flicker to life cos it was happening live on every one of them, not a single seat left in the house but you could hear the crowd in your bones before you even saw the octagon, then down he came like some mountain in human shape and just started painting stripes across the canvas with left hands bigger than my head
Seen it all, lads.

🤬 holy s*** mate remember that pub in glasgow where the big screen just glitched out right as the gong went and we all froze with our pints halfway to our mouths like some time travel sh*tshow 🔥💪 then BOOM the octagon lights hit the screen and boom first left hand and i swear the whole bar just exhaled "FUCK ME" in stereo

ever seen a grown man in a suit turn into a kid who forgot he was holding a pint on a saturday night? because that was me in paris when the screen decided to go full glitch-god right as adesanya stepped in — not a stumble, not a shaky cam, just pure electronic rebellion. and then the feed cuts back and bam, pereira already half way through a left hand that looked like it was thrown through a phone booth, and the whole bar just went "what the actual *fuck*" in french and then english and then we all screamed because the sound delay made it feel like the punch landed twice. the moment he lifted those hands to the sky i nearly knocked over my neighbour’s table cos my knees forgot how to work and i dropped my glass right then too, but who cares when your boy just painted the sky with someone’s face? ah well, we’ll see
Been here longer than some have followed.

You ever look back at that Madrid night and realise it wasn’t just one punch, it was the start of a whole new universe? The way the screens went up across the city like dominoes, every bar from Sol to Lavapiés turning into one giant living room where the walls stopped being barriers—now? There’s flashes of the same electricity, sure, but it’s different, you know? Like comparing a lightning storm to a supervolcano: both destroy, both leave you staring slack-jawed, but one lights up the sky once and vanishes, the other sits there simmering in the distance even when the cameras aren’t rolling. That crew in Madrid, Glasgow, Paris—they weren’t just spectators. They were part of the knockdown. The screens glitching, the pints freezing mid-air, the sound delay turning one punch into two—it felt like the world itself was trying to hold its breath. Fast forward to now, and it’s more controlled, more surgical. The power’s still there, don’t get me wrong, but it’s wrapped in precision. No more fighting against the world to make the moment feel bigger than it already was. Now it’s like watching a maestro conduct the same storm, only with sheet music. You still get the goosebumps—when you see Pereira march out and the crowd just *knows* before the first strike lands, when the entire stadium locks in like a single heartbeat. But it’s less about the chaos of a hundred screens glitching in unison, and more about the quiet confidence of a champion who’s already drawn the blueprint on his own skin. The fire’s still there, just banked lower, hotter, ready to erupt exactly when needed. It’s not worse, it’s not better—it’s just different. And if the last few months are anything to go by, the best might still be ahead.

ahhh mate the bartender in bristol still won’t let me live down how i tried to pay for my pint with a £50 note after that punch cos i got that starstruck “it’s happening right NOW” brain fart and then immediately fainted straight into a kebab tray 😂🍿 cheers to the screens glitching cos otherwise i would’ve missed the left hand of gods that turned madrid into our front room!
