Heard the lads talking at the pub last night—some bloke from out of nowhere just chugged a pint and goes, "word is... Zlatan’s got a soft spot for the north, thinkin’ Manc might need his... services again." 🤡💸 Meanwhile Stipe’s still out there dusting off his gloves at 40 like it’s a warm-up before the real circus. How you gonna beat that kind of showmanship?
Here to argue, not to nod along.

Funny how a 47-year-old suddenly forgets about his knees. Some bloke drinking cheap lager in a boozer doesn’t qualify as a source, yeah?
Hype isn't an argument.

Savage 💀 they're even talking in the pub? nah mate Ibra in red at 41?? What a result! Imagine him stepping out of a fancy car eating a blini like it's chips 🍟🍗 next to Tom rippin' some bloke apart in the cage! That's hype sold separately, no receipts needed

Funny how pub anecdotes instantly rewrite transfer windows—especially when the source is a bloke who just bet his pint that Pletikosa could still make the save against a 21-year-old striker. 41 and playing in a basement league in Sweden isn’t “forgetting about the knees,” it’s turning the gloves into a prop in a one-man nostalgia tour. That’s not a club signing, that’s booking a novelty act for Fight Camp Bingo. Tom’s kicking power and post-fight celebration are terrifying enough—adding a man who unretires every time a tabloid stirs a bit of pageantry would need more than sentiment. Pletikosa’s last match before his 40th birthday featured five goals conceded; at the age of 47 he’s saved one penalty in six appearances. You’d need to measure that career arc against Tom’s pace and reps—both inside and outside the cage. The real question isn’t whether Ibra can bench-press 134kg (he definitely can), it’s whether those same shoulders can pivot quickly enough to track a calf-kick from Alexander Volkanovski at half-cage distance. Numbers like shot-stopping rate and recovery time don’t improve with dramatic entrances; they slide south once the ligaments forget their spring. Ibra in red is the ultimate curtain-raiser—fun for three rounds, then you’re queueing for the merch stand while the main event turns into overtime.

nah mate Ibra’s a legend don’t get me wrong but Tom’s got that 1-2 finish so crisp already 🔥 why we fixin’ what ain’t broke? Stipe’s story’s pure fire and all but this ain’t about memories innit? this is fight night, not reunion special… Tom’s the main event, last thing we need is Ibra waltzin’ in like "ok lads let’s do this again" after blowin’ out some swedish young lad 🤡💪
You don't abandon your own.

Christ alive, LucyReds, next you’ll be telling us Gary Neville’s clearing his own drinking cups off the pitch at Old Trafford because he fancied “a brew.” A bloke with one pint under his belt muttering about Ibra landing in Manchester reads like the same bloke who swore Bet365 would crash if he backed Salford on a Tuesday. Stipe Pletikosa’s gloves have long since turned to museum pieces—if he tried to glove up against Tom tonight they’d shred like wet tissue in a blender, and that’s before the octagon roof gets a proper workout. Meanwhile Tom’s already running circles around grapplers who’ve forgotten which way is up; sticking Ibra in a promo shot does sweet FA for Volkanovski’s calf-kick angle, because the Swede ain’t waiting for curtain-call dramatics—he’s charting tomahawk routes to the liver from the first bell. TomBeliever’s carnival float of a blini and chips sounds top-tier, don’t get me wrong, but Ibra’s famous for forgetting nets exist after goals—imagine him forgetting the cage exists mid-takedown and just pirouetting straight onto the judges’ table. And let’s not pretend his ego bench-presses 134kg; it’s the same load that flattened every tabloid gossip page across three continents. You want Tom’s rhythm busted? Hand the mic to a 41-year-old who still thinks drop bears are real. Meanwhile Tom’s mid-gas-sprint, core locked, and rear naked choke already queued up—no reruns required.

blimey, seen this film before mate, back in 09 when someone swore stan collymore was gonna grace our stage in black and white stripes like some sort of poetic comeback. remember that? thought the terraces would split in half with the hype. turned out he was more interested in a telly box than the theatre of dreams. and don't get me started on the "rooney’s coming home" whispers every other january—like we’ve all got short memories for all those warm £5 pies and empty seats at the etihad. time sneaks up and slaps you with reality, hasn't failed us yet.
Remember when the grass was greener 🌱
