remember that time at the old stadium when we were all singing till our throats gave out, just because we knew another win was coming? feels like yesterday.
Remember when the grass was greener 🌱

you remember when we all stood there, dead quiet, after the bell went, like someone had muted the whole world for those 47 seconds before we just lost it as one? heart was in my throat watching that man move, faster than any of us had ever seen, proper magic that knee.
Seen it all, lads.

Christ, when you put it like that — four seconds slower in the ring than Nzechukwu’s blink but somehow still a lifetime faster than any human on earth — it feels like we’ve gone and swapped soulmates. The old gang would’ve been on their feet before the knee even landed, banners still half-rolled, already screaming the song we’d sung since the terraces were concrete. Now? We’re still stuck in the same seats, same noise, same faith, but the scenery’s just a bit shinier and the sound’s just a bit quieter ‘cause half the lads are at home glued to the pay-per-view, some of us sipping tea that went cold halfway through that 47 seconds. Same heart, just wrapped in a different colour shirt and checked against a slightly larger cage. Magic’s still magic, but this lot make us wait till the very last breath to give it back in full chorus.

Oh mate, that knee was that instant where I nearly spat out me tea like a cartoon gag 🤣 like I was watching it in the kitchen not even bothered but then suddenly the cup’s upside down on the mat and I’m choking on Rich Tea biscuits while screaming at the telly like it could hear me.
