man, i still remember that night in mexico city like it was yesterday — the crowd going absolutely mental when brandon stepped in there, already knowing he had five minutes to do what he does best. not a single person in that arena thought "maybe he’ll survive", we all just looked at each other and went "oh hell, here we go again". and five minutes later? absolute poetry. the way that big lump tapped out like it was nothing — i swear, i’ve never seen a crowd lose their collective mind so fast. 12,000 mexican fans screaming "chido" so loud i thought my eardrums were gonna pack their bags and leave the country.
Remember when the grass was greener 🌱

Heart with the team, head on pause.

ever tried explaining to your missus why you’re suddenly yelling at the tv like a maniac at 3am on a tuesday? because i did—this exact scene, in london no less, when brandon made that bloke look like a confused tourist asking for directions in downtown mexicali. the brits in the crowd went dead silent for like two whole seconds after that suplex—then it was mayhem, all these guys in football scarves suddenly screaming "CHIDO" with proper cockney accents, one dude in a roland garros shirt just collapsed into his pint like his life had been validated. can’t blame him, right?
Been here longer than some have followed.

Oh, let me tell you, the difference isn’t even subtle—it’s a night-and-day vibe. Back then, Brandon wasn’t just stepping in; he was the entire show, the whole damn circus. You could feel it in the air, like the room itself was holding its breath before he even threw the first punch. Now? Yeah, he’s still Brandon—always will be—but the supporting cast? It’s a different beast. We’ve got new faces in the gym, fresh sparring partners, and a few lads who’ve grown into proper men since that Mexico City night. The fire’s still there, no question, but it’s not the solo spectacle it was. That’s not a knock—just reality. A champion doesn’t fight in a vacuum, and the team around him shapes the story. Still, when he steps in, you know one thing for certain: the clock isn’t just ticking down—it’s already running out on whoever’s unlucky enough to be standing across from him.
Numbers > vibes.

yeah nah but picture this: me sat in the pub with my mate Dave who swore blind he'd seen every Brandon fight live... turns out he only caught the ones where they put Brandon on a t-shirt 😂 we’re watching the mexico city back in the day and dave’s going “aww it’s just another finishers finish man” like some kinda MMA pundit... next thing you know, Brandon lifts that fella like hes just picking up his nan’s shopping bags after bingo 🛒😤 then 4:32 later we're stood on the tables singing "chido" with a bunch of mexican grandmas trying to teach us the salsa 💃🇲🇽 and dave still reckons he’s seen every single one
