That Jungle Fight kid with the feet? Yeah, word is a certain scout’s in his corner already — and if he ever grows a pair past that jumpy nonsense, someone’s getting spanked 🤡💸
It's a lottery, not sport.

Still waiting for that scout to materialise out of thin air—either he’s hiding behind a vending machine or he popped out like a meerkat checking the skies every round.

savage kid got feet that dance like he’s on air fridays 🔥💃, but nah—suppose he lands that jab combo coming off the ropes like our Max does off the cage edges, man you got me twitching
You don't abandon your own.

Bruno Silva’s footwork is slicker than Holloway’s cut kicks, but let’s be real here—real real—positioning this kid in the Welterweight division without a proper jump is like trying to fit a square peg in a round hole. Jungle Fight’s lightweight to 77kg is a weird stretch; the welterweights down here? They’re pounding the pads five years past their rookie cards. Bruno’s 25 now? That’s prime for a lightweight who’s still polishing his cage IQ, not a welterweight nightmare yet. He’d need to bulk at least two kilos clean while keeping that snapshot pace, and that jump you’re all smirking about—it’s not just about not leaping at shadows, it’s the recovery after he lands. Max didn’t survive 15 rounds because he danced around. He survived because he calculated every rebound from every missed angle. Bruno’s got the feet, sure, but the Welterweight corps in the UFC isn’t made of clay pigeons. They’re veterans with left hooks that lay bricks. Scout material? Maybe a tiny crumb—if he tightens the jab timing and learns to breathe through the fire instead of over it. But “spanked” implies easy work, and nobody gets spanked these days unless they forget to plug their holes first. Still, if he bides his time in the deep cuts of Contender Series and lands a polished 15-minute toolbox against stiff local boys, then we talk. Until then? He’s a project, not a parachute drop.

hold my pint 🍺 but that square peg in a round hole analogy just made me picturing bruno silva trying to fit his feet into welterweight gloves and i’m genuinely crying at the mental image
Came to laugh, stayed for life 🍿

so many words wasted trying to force a round hole into something that ain't meant for it @TheTapeStats, like trying to teach a goldfish to whistle and then blaming the goldfish when it blows bubbles instead. bruno’s got feet you could dance tango on, but unless he learns to pack a punch with the same rhythm there’s no jump worth taking—watching a welterweight swing wide on those legs is like watching a kid with a new bike try to win the tour de france. max never needed a division jump because he never boxed in the dark—he stepped in sharp, stepped out sharper, and left the welterweights scratching their heads like they’d just missed the last tube home. smart kid or not, that peg stays square till the gloves get heavier.
Seen it all, lads.

@Cageside23 round hole in a square peg? nah mate bruno’s not a fish he’s a lion in training just got to put a mane on him! 🦁 every young striker’s been there—flailing feet when the big dogs bark! but bruno? nah he’s got the rhythm deep down, he just gotta stop dancing with the shadows and start carving up the cage like max did 😤 what’s three more pro rounds against men who punch like freight trains gonna do? turn those quick feet into lightning bolts! our boy’s a gem just needs polish 💎

That jumpy nonsense needs slapping out of him with the cage rails, full stop 🤬🔥 our Max never flinched at the cage like that, he built his whole game on angles not flailing. But if this kid Bruno keeps them feet dancing clean—like MatchdayUltra said, air fridays and all—that's half the battle right there ain't it? Just gotta channel it into proper counters, no mercy in the welterweights they'll have him guessing in 2 so keep those pads heavy dummy

Look, I’ve seen more than a few Brazilian kids step off the sand in Jungle Fight with feet that could make a ballerina cry, but the cage in the UFC isn’t the same waltz it is in a promotion where the biggest punch anyone throws is a love tap on the wrist when the ref’s distracted. Bruno Silva’s footwork? It’s flashy enough to make you forget you’re watching two men trade leather, but footwork without fight IQ is like a Lamborghini engine dropped into a Reliant Robin—sure it looks quick, but you’re still sitting in the slow lane when the traffic jams up. The welterweights out here aren’t farmers’ fields waiting for a good harvest; they’re motorways packed with articulated lorries doing 90 mph in the fast lane and every one of them’s got a CB radio mounted on the dash to shout, “I’m coming through, make way or get flattened.” A jump? That’s the least of Bruno’s worries. When the welterweights start cutting angles like they’ve got radar instead of eyes, a kid who’s still learning not to leap at shadows is going to find himself staring at the ceiling more times than he’d care to admit. If he wants to be our next nightmare, he’d better stop dancing on air Fridays and start drilling the middle rounds—because the UFC octagon doesn’t reward pretty steps, it rewards men who can take a left hook to the ribs and still walk home under their own steam.
Numbers > vibes.

ever seen a kid who looked quick as hell in the gym mirrors but once the lights go bright he’s twitching like a drunk kangaroo in headlights? had one like that myself back in newcastle—used to dance round the pub pool table like maradona on espresso, then step up to the dartboard and miss the wall. same feet, different fight. bruno’s got the feet, yeah, but unless he’s got the mind to feed the feet instead of just showing off? that’s where the jungle fight magic ends and the ufc nightmare begins. that jumpy nonsense isn’t the enemy—the enemy is believing the jump itself is the weapon. max never leapt at shadows because max never saw shadows as targets, only angles to exploit. the welterweights out there aren’t waiting for a pretty show; they’re sitting in the pocket like a pack of hyenas waiting for the first stumble so they can start counting ribs. remember fernando monteiro? flashy footwork, lights-out highlight reel every sunday in jungle fight. stepped into the cage at welterweight against colby covington’s granite forearms and—well, let’s just say he came out of there needing a new postcode for his jaw. footwork without fight IQ is like giving a lorry driver a neon sign: sure it’s bright, but eventually you’ll crash into the first wall you see. so when uncle says the welterweights are motorways with articulated lorries? he’s right. but bruno’s still learning to check the mirrors before he changes lanes. give him three more years drilling the middle rounds, not just the friday night flash, and we might be talking nightmare. until then? he’s a dancer on the edge of the cage—needs to learn the octagon’s got a floor too.

remember a skinny kid from santiago years back, bruno silva style—feet you’d swear were on rollerblades, throwing jabs like they were free samples at a grocery store. the hype trains rolled right up to fight pass day one, all "next little hawk, watch him go". but come fight night? dude forgot how to breathe past the second round. ended up needing a magnifying glass to find him between all the welterweights’ left hooks. same exact story with thiago ribeiro from jungle fight a couple seasons earlier—oh the moves looked sick in the promo clips, but once the cage closed the only thing he hacked through was his own game plan. had the speed, sure, but not the map. time will tell indeed. until then we’ll just keep the beers cold and the faith warm, eh?
