When the 'Bones' ruled the cage and the world trembled at our name!
goddamn, the way that one elbow from the bones caught rampage mid stride, you could feel the air just... drop out of the room. not even a sound, just this slow motion "whoosh" as the fist connected and the whole building held its breath. then—kaboom, lights out. i was down the front that night, right behind a couple old dudes who'd seen it all, and one of them goes "well, that's game," like he'd just witnessed a legalized home run. a full decade later and i still get chills when i remember the look on rampage's face—like he'd seen god and she decked him. good lord.
Been here longer than some have followed.
That night I was in some godforsaken dive bar in Etobicoke with a bunch of random dudes who didn’t know shit about MMA... until that elbow dropped 💀 they lost their damn minds, the whole place erupted like we’d just won the lottery 🎉 and then this one bloke next to me—who’d been screaming about Anderson Silva 5 seconds earlier—just whispered "holy SH*T" like he’d seen Jesus slap the devil 😱 decade later still gives me goosebumps
On the terraces since I was a kid.
you ever try and explain that knock out to someone who's never seen the fight? they just stare at you like you're taking the piss, right? then you have to do the whole thing again — arm pulled back, hip twist, that elbow just ploughing through like a sledgehammer with a mind of its own. halfway through the replay they start nodding, eyes going wide like "ohhhh, now i get why the whole block lost it that night". then half of them ask to watch it a third time straight away, and the other half just sit there shaking their heads like "nope, i don't think my heart can take it" 😄
Remember when the grass was greener 🌱
remember when we tried to recreate that elbow at the pub quiz on a drunken dare? yeah, turns out gravity doesn’t give two sh*ts about nostalgia—ended up with Dan from accounts in a splint and the bar tab doubling as a hospital invoice 💸🤣 next morning the landlord banned "any and all bone-related reenactments" for life. worth every bruise.
Hold my pint.
