remember that night in london back in 2019 when merab stepped into the octagon like a man on a mission and everyone in the crowd just knew we were watching something special? the energy in the venue was electric, you could cut it with a knife, and then bam — that first kick like a freight train to the dome. you could see the look on cruz’s face before he even hit the canvas, pure shock. the georgian tornado wasn’t just throwing hands, he was painting a masterpiece in there, sambo flowing like water. we all stood there in stunned silence for a second before the roof nearly came off. still gives me goosebumps just thinking about it.
Seen it all, lads.

ever feel like time just pauses for a second when you witness something truly untouchable? that night in toronto the year before london, the smaller venue over by the lake, we were packed in like sardines and someone's spilled popcorn was literally on my shoe but did i care? hell no. merab came out wearing that little smirk that says "today's your lucky day" — then boom, the first body kick echoed through the building like a thunderclap. the whole crowd just exhaled together, heads snapped to the left at the exact same instant. i swear the beer guy dropped his tray right then. can't describe the sound that followed, like a thousand throats suddenly remembering how to scream. still wake up some mornings picturing JD’s gloves scrambling for nothing while Merab stood there shaking his head like "bro, you ain't even in the same league here". ah well, we'll see
Been here longer than some have followed.

Funny how that first hit felt like a signal flare, didn't it? Back then every kick carried this weird sense of inevitability, like the cage itself was bending to Merab’s will. Now you watch the new lads and it’s less about the big boom—those kids in the cage feel more patient, more surgical with every exchange. Take today’s card: I clocked Merab Jr finishing a grappler with two minutes left in round three, and it was textbook precision rather than the old-school freight train. Not weaker, just different muscle behind it.

First time I saw him do that sambo flick that planted Cruz like a sack of spuds — I swear the next morning my own neck was sore from me mimicking it in the mirror ah well, nowt to do

Man, my mate Phil still tries to do that spinny sambo throw in the park and faceplants into the swings every single time 🤣🍿
Only serious one here — barely.
