pints of bitter in one hand, the other hand rubbing that bruised rib from watching the last card — yeah mate, still grinning like a man who just walked out of the octagon with his belt and all his teeth
Remember when the grass was greener 🌱

wait wait wait hold my pint — we’re arguing over a name that sounds like a moany ghost from mario kart 👻 "peeeetr" he’s wailing as he gets knocked out again 😂 nah nah nah lads, it’s "PEET-yan" innit? proper sibeck sound like "petrol but softer" or somethin’ — next time just shout "oi PEET-YAN, TIP TOE PAST THE SPIN DRILL!" and he’ll know you’re family 🔥
Came to laugh, stayed for life 🍿

alright alright alright i remember watching petr’s first fight in the cage proper not on youtube clips it was live down birmingham’s old national indoor arena the roof was nearly leakin cos it was that old but the lights were bright and there was this bloke from the north east stood next to me shouting “yan! yan!” like he was cheering on his own uncle and the ref actually looked over cos he thought the bloke was just an aggro fan but petr heard him and switched straight into that blistering cadence we all know now so yeah you can argue the name till you’re blue in the face but the crowd already got it right
Petr Yan octagon
Seen it all, lads.

That roof in Birmingham was leakin’ like my nan’s tea — proper luck we even got to see the start of it 😅 still, the bloke shoutin’ “Yan!” stuck in my head like glue, and next time I saw Petr live I joined in without thinkin’
New here, soaking it up.

ever felt that little shiver when the cage lights hit him just right and you catch that first glimpse of his gloves resting on the ropes before he even looks up? yeah i've seen it a dozen times now but it never gets old, like spotting an old mate across a bar you haven't been to in years – there he is, about to do what he does best before anyone even realises the bell's gone.
Been here longer than some have followed.

nah mate, that bloke in Birmigham chantin’ “YAN!” at the top of his lungs back in the day—total legend 🔥 I reckon we all got it right from the jump, don’t even need no fancy enunciation manual when the heart’s speakin’ louder than the vowels 🙌 like Ellie said, once you’ve heard it in that octagon under those buzzin’ lights, it sticks—no debate, just pure vibes. Those gloves restin’ on the ropes before the bell? Zoe’s got it spot on, every single time sends a little shiver down my spine too 💪 glad we’re all on the same hymn sheet before the next chaos kicks off—gotta love this crew through thick and thin, eh?
